the old trip

Christian Marclay and Otomo Yoshihide - Moving Parts Nikki Sudden and Rowland S. Howard - Kiss You Kidnapped Charabanc

I picked up Moving Parts as promised, as well as the recent reissue of Nikki Sudden and Rowland S. Howard's Kiss You Kidnapped Charabanc, which had a couple of good moments on the first run through - I expect I'll find more on the next listen, though so far I'm still more into it for the RSH guitar work than Nikki Sudden himself.

Also, Rory's done a nice roundup at RAN of the new offerings by Suede and Supergrass - I've only got the Suede release at the moment, which is nice but not overwhelmingly wonderful (at least not yet), though I bought it on the same day as the new Mekons album (which is pretty damn good) and an old Tubeway Army album (Replicas) that brought back some memories...

That Spoon album's been slowly lodging itself in my mind - I've put it on a few times during the week, and it's been Just Right. I'm putting on Luna's Romantica now, though, hoping to conjure something out of it that I hadn't previously noticed. I want to like it.

I Am Robot And Proud sounds not too unlike Jeremy Dower (or perhaps it's the other way around). Nice track.
