Early one mornin' while makin' the rounds
I took a shot of cocaine and I shot my woman down

I was never quite sure - is Johnny Cash's song Cocaine Blues making a vague reference to William S. Burroughs and the (apparently) accidental death of his wife during a crack at the old "William Tell routine"?

He said Willy Lee your name is not Jack Brown
You're the dirty heck that shot your woman down

I don't remember him writing much about coke, but Burroughs did use the psuedonym William Lee for Junky. So who knows? It's a bit of a long shot. The song was, as far as I could tell, written after Junky, so...?
