mjs was baffled by Nokia's kaleidoscope, but I reckon their medallion is much more amusingly strange.

There's nothing else like the kaleidoscope, that's why I think it's weird. The medallions are pretty strange, but they're really just little lcd screen on a string. You can sort of figure out what they do--but the kaleidoscope's just a metal tube! (I love how the pretty people in the ad use the products as if they've been doing it all their lives--there's no wtf? moment where they try to figure out how to turn the damn thing on, or how to actually use it.)
