« wedding season | Main | the mercy seat »

After yesterday's wedding, I eased into the day, but once I got to the first CD shop there was no going back.

  • Sonic Youth - Sister, Bad Moon Rising, Confusion is Sex, Evol : Some back-cataloguing I should've done years ago. 4 Sonic Youth CDs in one go is a bit much to digest. I expect this'll take me a while.

  • Paul Kelly and the Dots - Manila : more back-cataloguing. I really should've bought Talk last time saw it.

  • Golden Smog - Down by the old mainstream : I figured I'd investigate after reading a few good things about them. A quick in-shop listen seemed good enough.

  • Neil Halstead - Sleeping On Roads : Nice, easy-going solo album from Mr Mojave 3. Very nice artwork. I'm listening to this as I write.

  • Bertrand - The sssound of mmmusic : More proof that epitonic works, I suppose.

  • The Scientists - The Human Jukebox 1984-1986 : I'd been waiting for this since November last year, when it was supposed to have been released...

  • Sodastream - In Between Times : a 4-track EP from Candle. More of the same, but in this case you know that's a good thing.
