airwaves and outlaws

By pure chance I got home just in time to read my mail and find out that Stefan was doing a show on WMBR at midnight, MIT-time. If I was working today I'd have missed out, so I'm thankful once more for random coincidences. He even finished the show off with a Lucksmiths track - good work ! I rang up mid-show to say hi and to request some Spearmint, but he couldn't understand what I was trying to say. This could be a combination of the following : general phone badness, my crappy mumbly voice that goes too fast, the accent. Anyway, it didn't really matter. I rang up to be supportive. When you're on the air, it's always nice to have people call you up and say something other than "you left the mike on during a song". I hope he got that much out of my ringing up. And he played a Neil Halstead track next, which had been my (unspoken) next choice.

Mavis brought me back two CDs from Singapore that I almost bought when I was over there last year (but consequently hadn't found here) - Curve's Gift, and a reissue of Recoil's real early stuff, Hydrology 1 + 2. I haven't had time to listen to them yet.

Oh, and R.I.P. Waylon Jennings. Sorry, man.
