Well, I chucked the new release of Movable Type in (after watching the forums for any showstoppers) and quickly setup a search template (see sidebar), mainly so I'd know what to do if somebody else asked me how to do it.
Also, I like how it now adds the name of the post somebody commented on, when you get notified by e-mail :

Hopefully some of my donation money was spent on a nice, quiet beer or two, a few months ago. These guys deserved it. Happy birthday, Movable Type !

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.

Seems like your right-hand box slips down the page at 800x600 under IE6. Those monitor setting examples have made a land grab, and the right-hand box is now appearing only after the end of the main blog content. It still hews to the right, it's just dropped down. MT 2.5 issue or CSS issue?

yeah, on a really low-res screen, the sidebar /will/ show up at the end. it's a kind of almost-but-not-quite-graceful degradation.
the problem with preformatted text (eg. monitor config examples) running over/under the side bar is quite annoying, but i'm not sure what to do about it.
