As a Sinclair ZX Spectrum user from the early 80's, I'm somewhat amused that, of all things to make a comeback with, Sir Clive's trying this one again.
When Vanessa showed me a photo she'd taken of some pixel-guy graffiti the other day, I was immediately thinking that somebody oughta do one of Miner Willy (remember Manic Miner?).

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.

When I was about 10, my parents took me to a very stylish soiree full of glamourous motor racing people. There were two highlights on offer: an undistinguished, yet current and active Formula One driver; and a Sinclair C5. The driver had a full dinner suit on and was one of those rare people who didn't look fake or uncomfortable in it. The C5 didn't work, which as a symbol is accurate if not especially subtle. Later, it seemed very strange to me. How do you reconcile Sir Clive's awkward and earnest, yet plastic-flashy device with high society?
