8-bit glory

Wow. Retrospec reimplement old Spectrum (and such) games for current operating systems - it's amusing to note that their rewrite of Head Over Heels is a 15MB download that needs, for the Mac version, a 400MHz G4 or better. I blame Moore's Law.

Even better, they've got a Spectrum emulator that runs as a Java Applet, so you can play the originals in your browser. Excellent work! I'm off to relive my wasted teenage years and play Halls of the Things (which gives you the whole Spectrum tape-loading screen experience :).
