a hundred bucks a port
If you're forced to retrocompute by way of serial port, like I am, these things Just Work. Wow. It's a shame my laptop supplier didn't sell them, but I guess Real Macs never knew what a DB-9 port was, eh? Still, $100 for happiness (and for not having to try to find a PC laptop on those odd occasions) isn't so bad.
