riding with the ghost

So here's the plan. I'm going to start from Singapore, instead, and head north. I'll probably buy a smaller camera (a Canon IXUS 400). I'm still trying to decide whether I should buy an iPod (plus: I can carry a heap of music with me - given that I'll be away for a month, a bit of variety would be good. minus: It's an expensive solution, and I won't be able to listen to the CDs I'll inevitably buy in Singapore until I get home a month later). I leave on the night of the 2nd of February, and arrive home on the 3rd of March. A whole month away, with a predictable half-assed notion that I'll somehow manage get my shit together while I'm wandering around the tropics. Wish me luck.

But right now, I'm going to sit at home and feel lonely while I listen to the two Morelenbaum2/Sakamoto CDs that Ms Yeo found for me (thanks!) while I was supposed to be looking for holiday reading material in Readings this afternoon.

Not taking your PowerBook then?

I guess not. I'm supposed to be on holiday, right? I dunno if it's a good idea...

Well, it's small (smaller than mine, which I took to Sydney/Byron/Brisvegas; most of the time it was in my backpack), it plays MP3s and CDs, and can hold photos once a memory card fills up. Which sounds like a pretty handy thing to have with you.
