this weekend's non-purchases
It really feels like I'm running out of things to buy. Honestly.
The last few times I've wandered into Greville Records I haven't been able to bring myself to buy anything. Couple that with today's uneventful visit to Raoul after a couple of weeks, and it's getting a bit distressing. But I did consider the following :
Hope Sandoval and the warm inventions - Bavarian Fruit Bread : they were playing this in the shop while I was in there, and it sounded all very nice and sad and Hope Sandoval-like, but $44 just didn't make it appealing. Instead, I went home and immediately put on She Hangs Brightly which seemed to satisfy my urges just perfectly.
Solex - Low Kick and Hard Bop : I'd been eagerly awaiting this one, actually. But when I finally heard it...well...it's fine, it's just that today's not the day. That's all.
