gone already. over and out.
I took the SkyBus back to the city and walked around for a while, stopping by Collectors Corner where I hoped to find something else by Mark Eitzel or the American Music Club, but instead found an Alex Chilton CD I'd been after, along with an old Halo Benders one. A quick beer in Cafe Sahara where I ran into Nick, an old old old family friend who used to volunteer in the skateboard yard across the street that's now being turned into an apartment block. It took a while to be sure it was him, but there was something about the face, the actions, the voice, that seemed inescapably familiar. He went off, to visit a sick aunt in hospital, and I stared out the window and watched the trams go by, thinking "so what now ?"

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
