I haven't even begun to penetrate the VU boxed set I picked up on the weekend, but I've really been enjoying the Handsome Family album, which I'll write something about soon after i've done some more "research". I've also been busy extolling the virtues of, say, Josh Rouse to people like Steph (Bruce, you're next).
As for other things, I'm quite happy with that new Lisa Miller covers album after a couple of listens, and Neko Case is a little more old-school girl-country than I expected. But we'll see how that goes.
Book-wise, I've started on a travel novel called Blue Highways by , that I'd picked up in Readings on the weekend. I only got through a couple of chapters on the tram this morning, but I'm already getting itchy feet.
