doctor who, the dalek slayer

I'm not a huge Doctor Who fan, although it was often watched in the household as I grew up, so I ended up seeing a fair bit of it anyway. I'm definitely not a Buffy fan (sorry).

According to something forwarded to a friend's mailing list, the Beeb are planning to revive the show with the help of one of the Buffy scriptwriters, in time for the show's 40th (!) anniversary. It's funny that they're talking about using Giles (Anthony Stewart Head) for the new Doctor, but I suppose that could actually work out ok. Just don't get Sarah-Michelle to be his sidekick. We've already had Leila, and Tegan, and... Hey, maybe Spike could play Davros ?
