So as I paid for another Pere Ubu album in Missing Link this afternoon, the guy behind the counter asked me "did you go and see them when they came out a few years back ?" "nah, unfortunately not." "David Thomas threw a wobbly and walked off stage because the crowd wasn't responding enough. He came back, eventually. Great gig, besides that."
I lunched at Tokio, wishing Tonkatsu Joshu was still open in Flinders Lane. Oh. It looks like they've finally reopened in Springvale. I've gotta get down there - nobody does a Katsu Curry as good as these guys.

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.

I wish I knew. I'd noticed the website's gone, too. I tried going there with a friend a month or two back and it was shut, then the same friend mentioned a week or two later that it was now some other restaurant.
I share your pain!
