I always had a soft spot for Vault, which everybody called the Yellow Peril instead. The Age has a piece on it, talking to Ron Robertson-Swann, who made it. He says :
Vault was a public issue, and I think Melbourne is a lot more sophisticated as a result of those arguments being aired, over a long period of time.
I noticed it'd disappeared from down near the helipad across the river from the casino a few months ago, but it looks like it's coming back :
Vault, aka the Yellow Peril, will be installed outside the new Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Sturt Street, Southbank, later this month.

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
