down boy

BoingBoing mentions that there's going to be a film adaptation of On The Road. If they film it the way he wrote it, it could be interesting, though (excuse me while I channel acb for a moment) I guess it'll slide under the carpet of easy-to-swallow extra-sugary patriotic films that'll keep everybody nice and happy and under control (the donut is your friend ! trust the donut). I can't imagine it's going to rekindle anybody's revolution, this film, but I'm curious to see what'll become of it. Reading the book wasn't the life-changing experience I was led to believe it would be, though I hope it's affected me slowly, over time, at least.
