It looks like it might've once been a bank, or a post office, or some useful old building on Sydney Road in Brunswick, but now it's a café, bar and music venue. I was scouring the street for some lunch this morning and ended up here, where I ordered some chili corn salsa pancakes - they were wonderful, but very filling - I had to fight the impulse to fall asleep in my chair afterwards. I loved the big airy room inside, which gives the feel of eating your breakfast in a hotel somewhere nice - various sections of newspapers leisurely spread out on a large table in the middle of a room of generously spaced tables. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed the feeling of so much space.

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
