Sime Nugent and the Forefathers are doing a Sunday afternoon (3:30pm) residence at the Rob Roy - I caught Wagons doing one of these back in March - it's a nice, relaxing way to do it, and Git might still be doing their 5pm shows just up the road at the Old Colonial, so you can make it a double.
Heligoland, Andrew McCubbin and the Hope Addicts and Royalchord (who I've still yet to see, but I like their album I gave you a mountain) are playing the Empress tomorrow (Sunday) night.
Also, Registered Nurse, Grand Salvo and The Rectifiers (got the new album, need a few more listens) are playing the Rob Roy on the 12th.

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
