easy listening hour

Well, it took until today, but the first thing I listened to was all the Richard Buckner I had on the Pod while I walked down Moonee Ponds Creek until I got fenced off near the Docklands. He makes for good walking music, snatches of phrases drift by in the back of your mind while you're watching a bird fly past.

"i feel the heat and they move on glowing, but, i can pull away."

See also my favourite one from The Hill, his adaptation of Edgar Lee Winters' Spoon River Anthology.

Right now, back at home, it's You Walrus Hurt The One You Love from The Sylvie And Babs Hi-Fi Companion, because it's important to keep a certain quotient of calculated insanity in our lives.
