a few little things

A piece in The Age on The Devastations (covering familiar ground - they formed from the ashes of Luxedo, how they seem to be received better overseas, etc. you get the idea), who launch their new album Coal at the Tote tonight.

Warren Ellis gets the Invisible Jukebox treatment in this month's issue of The Wire.

I wonder how The Australian Music Prize will go? It's interesting to see this article quoting spokesperson Lindy Morrison(!), who oughta be an inspiration to any female Australian (or not) drummer out there.

If you're going to the Dev's gig Penny Ikinger is worth checking out. Have seen her with Andrew McCubbin playing some interesting guitar in the band.
Cheers

Yeah, I've been thinking about trying to catch her recently (I missed a chance at that High Vibes festival on Sunday...). Sounds good!
