The Triffids' Born Sandy Devotional is about to be reissued in "remastered with bonus stuff" form on July 1st, with what's left of the band touring in Belgium right now (where they had a large following) with Spanish resident Mark Snarski apparently providing some vocal assistance, according to an interview on 3RRR this evening. Despite being considered their best album in most circles, I clung to the lo-fi In The Pines instead - I don't know what it was about BSD that didn't click with me as much, but there you go - I guess this means it's time to try again with a new pair of ears. Calenture and In The Pines should follow soon, "hopefully".

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
