Wow... thats awesome... I had been banging my head against the wall about this problem. I thought it was the drivers in mac os x which have been bad in the past.... but it was coconutwifi.

Thank you. I had a slow network and was using coconut wifi to try and find other APs near me that could be interfering. Just closed it down and my download jumped from 50Kbps to 360Kbps.
