a few interesting gigs coming soon:
GB3 are doing a live in-store appearance at Readings in Lygon St tomorrow evening at 6pm.
Ed Kuepper and Jeffrey Wegener (plus, occasionally, Peter Oxley) are doing another 4 shows at the NSC on the 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th of November. Last time was great. I highly recommend catching them again. More dates over here, plus a few MP3s via the news log.
Jason Molina plays the NSC on the 19th of November - hopefully this time he won't be drowned out by hordes of chatting uni students waiting to see the Art of Fighting. He deserves better...

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.

I read in Beat a couple of weeks ago, about his rapturous/reverential audiences last time and gave a good old snort. I remember speaking to Jason after the gig and apologising for my home town crowd's behaviour. They talked all through his show.
P.S Notice NinetyNine's CD launch at the Tote tommorrow?

Yes, I felt compelled to wander up to him in the crowd and make a similar apology (well, this was back in 2002 - pics here - has he been here since then?).
I gotta help somebody nerd out with some networking gear on Saturday morning, so I'm probably not up for the NinetyNine launch.
