It's good to hear some squelchy electronic fuzz again, on an album that's been cursed with the familiar lazy praise of "a return to form" from people who probably hadn't been paying attention for the last decade and figure it's something useful to say about an old band like this one. Maybe it's not as immediately accessible (a concept rarely associated with Pere Ubu, I suppose) as something like Raygun Suitcase or St Arkansas, but that's only after the first listen - when it showed up this morning in a box from overseas, I knew it was time to hit the road.
