a walk in the black forest

I walked across Prahran for an optometrist appointment, dodging empty wheelie bins and bottle recycling buckets strewn across side-street pavements. In Greville St, a flock of pigeons strutted around inside a gated-off area where they used to (?) have Sunday markets. It made an interesting scene, almost a staged one, as if they were imprisoned there, forever walking back and forth across the sunny brick floor.
