Well, since everybody's been linking to it all week I finally pulled down the new Cat Power mp3. Nice. It doesn't quite rock but it certainly moves, perhaps in that indie-kid head-nodding kind of way. Railway drumbeats, a level-crossing bell-like guitar, and a bit of a "hey hey hey" - it seems like a sign of good things on the way.
