I'm home. I abandoned Bangkok for Chiang Mai's cooler weather (apart from a transit night each way), but apart from that I kept to my rather vague plans. I'll try and wade through the 694-odd photos that I took with the new camera, but probably not until the weekend.
"The reason I love Asia," an English guy told me in a Chiang Mai bar, "is that they think I can dance." I was happy enough with a few cheap beers and the company of strangers, but I share his enthusiasm nonetheless. I'll have to go back again, sometime. A lot of people (old friends and new) were very good to me. I'm a lucky guy, I suppose.

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
