I went to The Tote last night for the launch of The Infinite Wisdom of The Pink Stainless Tail.
Biddy Connor provided some nice amplified violin with delay (and vocals). I'll have to look out for more of her stuff.
New Estate totally rocked. Everybody should go and see them. That is all.
Rowland S. Howard hadn't played in ages, he said, but still managed to crank out a few great tracks (Dead Radio, Autoluminescent and a cover of the VU's Ocean). I'd love to see him playing with a band again some time, though, just for a change.
PST were great as per usual - Simon's unique dancing style, Harry's fab guitar work, the hit-and-miss crowd participation during Greystoked! I must apologize for not getting many photos of Nick on the bass (who always seems to be standing in the dark), and Sonke up the back - I had a great spot up the front, on the side, but there was a huge bright light shining right at me, which made things fairly challenging.

I may not (so far) run the kind of blog that posts social conscience linkage - other friends seem to have it covered better than I could manage (yes, I'm aware that's no excuse), but this doesn't mean that I don't care about the State of ThingsTM.
