Bruce and I caught Steve Earle's final Melbourne gig at the Prince of Wales. He played a good range of stuff, although on balance I have to agree that, for the money and all, there could've been something more to it.
Beforehand, Dan Brodie (with, as far as I can work out, his brother Chris) did a support act that really impressed me. While his brother sat back and did his poker-faced effortless guitar work, Dan gave off a lot of energy strumming and singing his heart out. I'll be picking up his album the moment I get into a shop and find it.
I took a fair few photos, but since it was a bit hard to move once the crowds gathered around the stage, they all ended up looking fairly similar...
