chrome-age stoners

I have a weakness for covers albums - the thought of bands taking something known and turning it into something unknown appeals to me. I picked up Stoneage Cameos (various bands covering the songs from The Hoodoo Gurus' debut album Stoneage Romeos for its 21st anniversary), mostly because the little sticker on the front said The Blackeyed Susans are on it - it seemed a bit of an odd choice, but it turns out that they add their touch of magic to Zanzibar. Fair enough. The rest of the lineup is pretty predictable, but it all sounds good. I'm glad The Sailors made it on, even if only as a "bonus track".

Speaking of times back then, I wonder how the Johnnys reunion went last night at the Corner?
